Pre-registration is required for this two-day. St. John Ambulance certificated course. Contact email: edmal2@telus.net. During this course, you will learn to provide all the skills mentioned in the 1-day Emergency First Aid course for life threatening injuries and illnesses. In addition, you will receive training in Level C-CPR (adult, infant and child) and 2-rescuer CPR and AED training and certification. As well, we will focus on bone, joint, chest and abdominal injuries, plus environmental injuries and wound care. Successful completion of Emergency First Aid (Day 1, Thursday) is a prerequisite for continuing with Day 2 Standard First Aid, Friday). Additional written exam questions and skill checks are mandatory. Pass Mark for certification is 70%. Cost is $100.
